Danbury boys win third straight State Open indoor track title
NEW HAVEN -- This was the year the Danbury High boys indoor track team was supposed to have its State Open crown taken away.Someone, however, forgot to remind the Hatters of that on Saturday at the New Haven Athletic Center.Danbury got first-place efforts from the Bubniak brothers, Joey and Danny, and the sprint medley team posted a state record as the Hatters cruised to their third consecutive State Open championship 63-46 over second-place Weaver.
