NEW HAVEN -- Two Brookfield High swimmers captured state titles Tuesday night at the Class M state championships at Southern Connecticut State University.Freshman Maddy Smart won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.62 seconds and placed third -- just a fraction of a second off the winning pace -- in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:54.
