Controversial new rules changes to F1 which would have seen the world title decided by race wins have been shelved until 2010. Motorsport's world governing body FIA back down late on Friday in the face of opposition from defending champion Lewis Hamilton (above) and teams.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- The Danbury Mad Hatters remained in playoff contention with a 4-3 overtime win against the Brooklyn Aces Friday night in an EPHL game at the Aviator Arena. Chad Jones scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Dan Hickman a little less than a minute into the overtime period.
